It’s the holiday season in Maine! That means it’s time once again for the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay to light up with the popular Gardens Aglow event.
Each year the gardens come alive with colorful displays that you won’t soon forget. The 2021 event included almost 60 miles of LED strings!
Like last year, the event will be a driving tour. The drive takes about 20 minutes. Stay warm in your car while you enjoy all the beautiful roadside displays.
Ticket information
Advance registration is required for the event. You’ll be able to choose the best date and time for your visit when you register. Make sure you pick a time that’s good for you; your ticket is only valid for the time you choose!
Register early – this is a popular event and time slots may sell out as the holidays approach.
Directions
The Gardens are located on Botanical Gardens Drive in Boothbay. From Route 1, take Route 27 just east of Wiscasset. Drive just under 10 miles to the village of Boothbay, and take the first exit at the roundabout onto Corey Lane. In about a quarter of a mile, take the right at the fork onto Barters Island Road. The Gardens will be about a mile on your left.
Make sure you leave time before or after your visit to explore the Community Lighting Contest. Businesses and residences around Boothbay join in the fun by adding festive lighting to their buildings!
